Saving lives of stroke victims by showing what to do.
After my surprise stroke I learned of the nead for immediate action by people ‘on the scene’ as the first minutes are critical. The stroke organisation Scope only has a credit card size card which is carried in the pocket and does not give real advice on dealing with the immediate situation. My idea provides a card which clearly gives personal details, action advice and is worn on a ribbon round the neck, so it can be immediately seen by helpers. This will save lives and I have not found anything that acts in the same way.
Insight & Impact
My own stroke highlighted the need for my idea to be known and used to save the lives of people who might have repeat stroke as well as those at risk of having a fist stroke.
