Well…this is it…the end of the Inclusive Tech Prize.

It’s been a long journey but just being part of it has been a huge eye opener for us. I’d like to start by wishing all the other entrants the best of luck for the final judging. I hope PlanHub is successful but if not, all of you will make worthy winners. There is some genius in these people.

PlanHub has come so far. A couple of weeks ago we did a filming session. We used the same team who’d done some filming for us previously and they commented on how PlanHub had changed and adapted over the period of their involvement, and that sums it up: the Inclusive Tech Prize has given us the ability to take a small idea and innovate. We’ve made mistakes and we’ve made improvements and learned so much along the way. PlanHub is now totally different from when we started and yet, still does what we always set out to: it keeps people safe.

We could never have done this on our own. The grant funding we’ve received has meant we were free to try out new ideas and methods. It gave us the freedom to grow and develop PlanHub.

PlanHub has gone from a little wristband with some safety features, into a life management system, helping its users to be more in control of their lives, taking the power back and having the final say.

For our final submission, it took over 10,000 words to explain what we’ve achieved so I think perhaps the best way to make it understandable is to just show you. Take a look at this video and you’ll understand what we’ve been doing!
